Schools can now enter their 2011 Higher School Certificate students on Schools Online in Term 4, substantially earlier than previous years.

The change brings several benefits to schools and students:

• more time for schools to check that each student is eligible for the HSC and the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)
• opening of HSC special examination provisions applications in Term 4
• lower workload at the start of 2011, when Year 10 and Year 11 entries are being submitted
• earlier entry to the Students Online portal for the next group of Year 12 students

The Board’s closing date for HSC entries will be 7 March 2011.

Step by step instructions for how to enter HSC students is now available in Schools Online Administration. It will not be possible to enter Preliminary or School Certificate students until the start of Term 1 in 2011.

Student email addresses and mobile phone numbers can also be entered via Schools Online. Once your students have been entered and received their HSC PIN, they will also be able to update their personal details on Students Online.
