Brother John Taylor Memorial Prize - $1000 for a deserving HSC student

Schools have until the end of term to nominate deserving students for the 2010 Brother John Taylor Memorial Prize.

The prize is presented each year to an HSC student who has overcome significant hardship to achieve academic excellence in their HSC.

The winner will receive a $1000 grant, trophy and a certificate recognising the award. There will also be a gift to all nominated students. Last year, all nominees received an Oxford English Dictionary donated by The Co-op Bookshop.

The student's hardship may take the form of a disability or social disadvantage.  Nominations may be sent to the Board before HSC results are known.

For further information, guidelines and the nomination form, visit The Brother John Taylor Memorial Prize.

The closing date for nominations is 17 December 2010.
