HSC students check assessment ranks from 10 November

All HSC students will receive a letter in the next few days reminding them of their HSC PIN. A HSC PIN card was also sent to students earlier this year.

Students will need their HSC PIN to log in to Students Online to view their Assessment Rank Order Notice that will be available from 4.00 pm on Wednesday 10 November 2010.

Students will see the order in which they have been ranked in their school for each course and must tell the school immediately if they think a ranking is incorrect. Any appeals must be lodged with School Principals by Tuesday 16 November.

It is very important that students check that their assessment ranks are as they expect. A discrepancy may indicate that the school has made an error in determining the final assessment mark, which will affect the HSC results. For an explanation of how this works, read about the HSC Aligning and Moderating Procedures.

Students should keep the letter handy as they will require their HSC PIN on Wednesday 15 December to obtain their HSC results via the internet, telephone or SMS. It is important to remember that the HSC PIN is different to the UAC PIN.

HSC PIN Enquiries: Student Records on (02) 9367 8001.
