Support materials are now available to assist teachers with the initial implementation of the revised Stage 6 Business Studies Syllabus.

The revised syllabus will be implemented for the Preliminary course from 2011 and will be first examined for the HSC in 2012.

The support materials have been developed for the Preliminary course. They include:
• an introduction to the revised syllabus and its key features and structure
• a sample Scope and Sequence for the Preliminary course
• a sample teaching program for each topic in the Preliminary course
• a sample assessment grid for the Preliminary course
• sample assessment tasks, as indicated in the Scope and Sequence.

These materials offer only one approach to teaching and learning and teachers are encouraged to modify them to suit their own students, resources and school community. Teachers will need to add reference to resources used for each of the programs.

Support materials for the HSC course will be published in 2011.
