President's Message - NSW School Certificate

The last time the school leaving age was raised in NSW was 1943. Back then, meeting a 15-year-old who was not in some form of study would have been unremarkable.

Today abandoning study before completion of at least 13 years of school is generally regarded as regrettable.

Modern community expectations reinforce what the data has been telling us for years: more time at school and in training means you are more likely to be richer, healthier and happier.
