Teachers and anyone interested in amendments to the Software Design and Development Stage 6 Syllabus can provide feedback through the Board’s online consultation survey.

Draft amendments to the syllabus include:

• re-writing the rationale to clarify the focus of the course
• defining the knowledge, understanding and skills students learn, to make them more contemporary, specific and detailed
• updating and re-organising content, including renaming of options
• strengthening the breadth and depth of some outcomes.

The Software and Course Specifications document is also being reviewed and will be available with the syllabus for implementation with the Preliminary course in 2011.
