HSC written exams 6: Monday October 24

In 2011, 55 103 students are enrolled in at least one HSC maths course. Even though maths is not compulsory, it remains one of the most popular HSC courses. Maths exams continue on Tuesday October 25 and Wednesday October 26.

Look for a Test yourself question from one of today's maths papers in the Board's latest news. There will also be a question from the Agriculture paper.

09.25-12.30 Mathematics, Mathematics Extension 2

  • Mathematics: 16 984 enrolled, 54% male : 46% female, fourth largest HSC course enrolment
  • Mathematics provides students with the opportunity to develop an understanding of high-level maths.
  • Mathematics Extension 2: 3476 enrolled, 64% male : 36% female
  • Extension courses are for students who show a high ability during their secondary schooling.

  • 66 enrolled, 27% male : 73% female

  • 1334 enrolled, 49% male : 51% female
