HSC written exams 9: Thursday October 27

There are 6398 students enrolled in at least one HSC language course.

French is the most popular language to study, followed by Japanese and Chinese.

When it comes to individual language courses, Chinese Background Speakers has the largest number of enrolments.

13.55-16.00 Metal and Engineering (VET)

  • 1303 enrolled, 97% male : 3% female

13.55-17.00 language: Classical Hebrew Continuers

  • 28 enrolled, 29% male : 71% female

14.00-16.00 language: Latin Extension

  • 101 enrolled, 63% male : 37% female

14.00-16.40 language: French Beginners

  • 625 enrolled, 18% male : 82% female, fourth largest language course enrolment

14.00-17.00 language: Continuers: Arabic, French

  • Arabic 234 enrolled, 31% male : 69% female
  • French 835 enrolled 28% male : 72% female, second largest language course enrolment

14.00-17.00 language: Chinese Background Speakers

  • 963 enrolled, 47% male : 53% female, largest language course enrolment
