New HSC assessment grids for Agriculture and Food Technology available

New sample HSC assessment grids are available for Agriculture and Food Technology.

The samples show one way to structure an assessment program that meets the Board’s requirements, based on the three to five tasks recommended for a two unit course.

They also illustrate how a variety of tasks can be used to meet the overall weighting requirements for each of the assessment components.

Teachers can use the assessment grids without modification, or make changes to suit their particular needs, however they need to remember that the weightings for each of the assessment components in the HSC course are mandatory.

The new samples reflect the changes to exam components and weightings in the amended syllabuses that were implemented for the Preliminary course in 2010 and will be first examined for the HSC in 2011.
