Entering students for Year 10 in 2012

Students going into Year 10 in 2012 need to be entered into Stage 5 courses as per usual using Schools Online.

This powerpoint presentation provides a summary to support planning for the new credential for students entering Year 10 in 2012.

Schools Online entries for students undertaking Stage 5 courses will open on Monday, 13 February 2012.

The Board is working on finalising the details of a new credential for those students who complete Year 10 but leave school prior to receiving their HSC.

In the interim, the Board's websites, including Schools Online will contain references to the School Certificate. In relation to Year 10 students in 2012, schools should continue to use the Board's online services as they have previously.

Schools should also continue to undertake school-based assessment for Year 10 students in accordance with current guidelines. The submission of grades for students in Year 10 in 2012 to the Board will be required toward the end of the year as per the normal process.
