Marking guidelines from the 2011 HSC examinations now online

More than 70 different marking guidelines from the 2011 Higher School Certificate examinations are now online.

They include Aboriginal Studies, Agriculture, Ancient History, Dance, Drama, Economics, English, Geography, Hospitality, Legal Studies, Mathematics, Modern History, PDHPE, Physics, Visual Arts, and some VET subjects.

These resources are important learning and teaching tools.

Marking guidelines are developed by the examination committee and are used at the marking centre in marking student responses. For each question, the marking guidelines are contained in a table showing the criteria associated with each mark or mark range.

A copy of the mapping grid, which maps each question in the examination to course outcomes and content as detailed in the syllabus is also included in the marking guidelines.

Marking guidelines for other 2011 HSC examinations will be added to the Board’s website throughout February and March.
