Official Notice: Update on the Stage 6 Construction Curriculum Framework syllabus for 2012

Students commencing study in the Stage 6 Construction Curriculum Framework in 2012 can be enrolled in either the qualifications based on version 5 or version 7 of the Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package (CPC08).

The qualifications based on CPC08v5 are:

  • CPC20108 Certificate II in Construction
  • CPC20208 Certificate II in Construction Pathways
  • CPC20408 Certificate II in Concreting
  • CPC30108 Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying
  • CPC30208 Certificate III in Carpentry
  • CPC30308 Certificate III in Concreting
  • CPC30608 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
  • CPC30808 Certificate III in Roof Tiling
  • CPC31308 Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling
  • CPC31808 Certificate III in Shopfitting
  • CPC32008 Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery

The packaging rules for these qualifications are available in Part A of the Syllabus on the Board’s website.

The qualifications based on CPC08v7 are:

  • CPC20111 Certificate II in Construction
  • CPC20211 Certificate II in Construction Pathways
  • CPC20411 Certificate II in Concreting
  • CPC30111 Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying
  • CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry
  • CPC30311 Certificate III in Concreting
  • CPC30611 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
  • CPC30811 Certificate III in Roof Tiling
  • CPC31311 Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling
  • CPC31511 Certificate III in Formwork/Falsework (new – SBA only)
  • CPC31811 Certificate III in Shopfitting
  • CPC32011 Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery

The packaging rules for these qualifications are available on www.training.gov.au.

For HSC examination purposes, the following units of competency have been deemed equivalent. The RTO may substitute the equivalent unit of competency provided all examinable aspects of the original unit of competency including the HSC Requirements and Advice are covered as outlined in Part B of the Syllabus.

A new version of the Construction Curriculum Framework Part A Syllabus based on CPC08v7 will be made available on the Board’s website during Term 1. It will include the updated qualification outcomes as indicated above, as well as any updated versions of units of competency.
