Applications to mark the 2012 HSC examinations are now open.

Marking is a very rewarding professional opportunity for suitably qualified teachers. The benefits include:

• developing marking skills and discussing assessment and marking issues with other teachers
• experiencing the full range of responses from across the course candidature and contrasting different approaches to the examination
• opportunities to apply for positions such as senior marker and judge in the standards setting operation
• the option to apply for day marking (limited subjects), evening marking, itinerant marking (practical performance subjects) or on-screen marking (specific subjects).

Marking is held at a number of venues across the Sydney metropolitan area and regional New South Wales (specific courses are marked at particular venues).

How to apply:
Follow the links to Markers Online via the Board of Studies website. New applicants need to complete a registration form, which can be found on the Markers Online home page. Once applicants are registered, they can log into Markers Online using their User Id and PIN/Password and submit their application.

Applications close Thursday, 5 April 2012.
