Professional learning workshops

The Board of Studies will present a range of professional learning workshops in Term 2, 2012. These workshops are designed to support staff in schools with Board of Studies processes and procedures.

These workshops are registered professional development under the terms of the NSW Institute of Teachers Continuing Professional Development policy. For teachers accredited at Professional Competence, completion of a workshop will contribute nominated hours towards Institute Registered professional development depending on the duration of the workshop.

 

Board of Studies information workshops

This workshop is for teachers regarding assessing and credentialing for years 10, 11 and 12. Completing this course will be acknowledged with six hours of accreditation. This workshop will address the following Professional Teaching Standard: 3.2.5, 3.2.8, 6.2.3, 6.2.4, 6.2.8 and 7.2.4

Board of Studies information workshops specifically for aspiring executive staff

This workshop is for teachers aspiring to head teacher/deputy roles and specifically assists with Board of Studies processes in an executive role. Completing this course will be acknowledged with three hours of accreditation. This program will address the following Professional Teaching Standard: 3.2.5, 3.2.8, 6.2.3, 6.2.4, 6.2.8 and 7.2.4

Board of Studies workshops – Using the ARC website K-6

This workshop is being held in Riverina in Term 2 but will be offered across the state later in the year. It will develop staff knowledge in the ARC website, work samples and use of the Common Grade Scale. Completing this course will be acknowledged with six hours of accreditation. This program will address the following Professional Teaching Standard: 3.2.5, 3.2.6, 3.2.9, 3.2.10, and 7.2.4
