Vietnamese delegation - Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training

On Friday, 29 June 2012, the Board hosted a delegation from Viet Nam representing the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training (HCMC DOET).

Bilateral ties between Australia and Viet Nam have grown over the past 35 years, particularly in the fields of education and training. The delegates were in NSW for one week hosted by the Department of Education and Communities (DEC) International. The purpose of the visit was to undertake comparative analysis of current educational standards, frameworks and processes – including regulations, quality assurances and accreditations, and teaching and learning pedagogies.

Carol Taylor, Chief Executive, welcomed the delegation and a number of Board officers made presentations to the 10-person delegation that included the Consul General of Viet Nam, the Director/CEO and six executive members of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education, and two high school principals.
