Life Skills Years 7-12: the decision-making process

New support materials have been developed to assist teachers when making the decision for a student to access Life Skills courses in Years 7–12.

The support materials include a five minute video and a flow-chart to guide the decision-making process.

Adjustments are an important step when deciding whether or not a student should access Life Skills outcomes and content. Teachers should provide reasonable adjustments and support to assist students to meet regular course outcomes before making the decision for a student to undertake Life Skills outcomes.

The new support materials can be accessed from the Special Education Needs section of the Board’s website.
