2014 HSC Media Guide and President's HSC message

A record breaking 76,679 students are enrolled in at least one HSC course this year.

The written exams commence with English on Monday 13 October in 2014.

Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards (BOSTES) has released detailed statistics on student numbers in the HSC Media Guide.

The Media Guide has links to the following information:

  • HSC Merit Lists
  • how exams are set and marked
  • how results are provided to students
  • HSC Rules and Regulations and support for students
  • guidelines for media attending schools.

The Media Guide also contains a message from BOSTES President, Tom Alegounarias.

“This year I’ve focussed on the quality of the HSC syllabuses, which I believe are the foundation upon which our teachers teach, our students learn, and our markers assess,” he said.

Mr Alegounarias has also recorded a video address to HSC students, which is available via the Students Online homepage from Thursday 9 October. A link will be sent to all HSC students in the next HSC email from BOSTES.
