Preparing for the 2015 Year 10, 11 and 12 school year

With the new year commencing, it’s time for schools to let BOSTES know vital information regarding your Year 10, Year 11 and Year 12 students, and to prepare for the year’s milestones.

Schools Online is now open for entries for all 2015 senior school students. A detailed information guide to this process for all senior study years is available from Schools Online > Downloads > Memos and Documents > Entries/Enrolments.

In addition, the HSC and RoSA Timetable of Actions for Schools has been updated for 2015, and is available from the Key Dates and Events on the BOSTES website from Wednesday 4 February. It provides opening and closing dates for schools submitting information to BOSTES for all senior study years.

It should be read by the school executive and administrative staff, year co-ordinators and all teachers of Year 10, 11 and 12 students, so all relevant staff are aware of the timeframes and deadlines.

Principals need to ensure all relevant teachers have Schools Online access so they can provide BOSTES with:

  • options
  • competencies
  • projects
  • grades
  • assessment marks

The 2015 HSC important dates for practical and performance examinations are also available from Key Dates and Events. There is a handy calendar that can be downloaded, printed and displayed, so all students and teachers of HSC courses with a practical examination are aware of hand-in, submission and marking dates.

The languages' oral examination timetable will be available from the BOSTES website on Thursday 5 March. The written examination timetable will be available to students and schools on Wednesday 29 April, and on the BOSTES website on Monday 4 May.

The deadline for Schools Online student entries is Friday 13 March. Principals must certify that all entry data is correct by Friday 20 March.
