Effective: 2015 examinations

BOSTES has changed the scheduling arrangements for HSC Music 2 and Music Extension performance examinations. From 2015, where possible, schools are requested to separate the Music 2 and the Music Extension performance examinations. This means that all the examinations for Music 2 should be completed before the Music Extension examinations commence, or vice versa.

Separating the scheduling of each course’s examinations will make marking more effective, and allow students to have a break between examinations.

As in previous years, schools will not receive separate school marking advices for Music 2 and Music Extension. It is up to the teacher to ensure they devise a specific schedule.

Schools are reminded that examination scheduling requests must be made in writing to Christine Johnston at BOSTES by Monday 27 July. Due to the complexities of the Music performance examination schedule, no requests can be considered after this date.
