Applications for 2016 HSC Chief Examiner positions are now open.

Teachers and academics with appropriate experience and qualifications are invited to apply. Setting or assessing HSC examinations is a rewarding and challenging experience, as well as a positive professional development opportunity.

As chair of the HSC examination committee, the Chief Examiner ensures that:

• the examination paper conforms to BOSTES principles and is of high quality
• the marking guidelines are appropriate
• the final version of the examination paper is accurate. 

The Chief Examiner is also responsible for signing off the marking kit at the marking centre.

Applicants for the position of Chief Examiner cannot teach the course/s for which they are applying in 2016, or be closely related to someone sitting or teaching the examination in 2016.
