Non-government school registration applications due by 31 March 2016

Who needs to read this notice:
Principals and proprietors of non-government schools
Representatives of systems of non-government schools

Effective: Immediately

The deadline for submission of applications from individual non-government schools and registration systems on behalf of member schools is Thursday 31 March 2016 to:

  • renew registration and/or accreditation which expires at the end of 2016
  • renew exemption from registration where exemption expires at the end of 2016
  • register new schools to commence in 2017.

The requirements for registration and accreditation are detailed in the Registered and Accredited Individual Non-government Schools (NSW) Manual and the Registration Systems and Member Non-government Schools (NSW) Manual. The most up-to-date version of each Manual is available on the RANGS website.

Advice in relation to the implementation of the new NSW K-10 syllabuses is available on the BOSTES website.

Applications made in 2016 should be based on the implementation timeline for the new K-10 syllabuses and the existing BOSTES syllabuses for other key learning areas.
