Following the release of the new national SIT Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package, BOSTES has updated the Stage 6 Hospitality Curriculum Framework syllabus. The updated syllabus, based on SITv1.1, is now available.

Implementation commences from 2017 with Year 11. View the updated syllabus and a range of associated documents on the BOSTES website. New BOSTES course numbers for the updated Framework are detailed in the syllabus.

Students who commenced a Hospitality course in 2016 and are completing the course in 2017 will continue the courses outlined in the ‘old’ Hospitality syllabus based on SIT12v2. The 2017 HSC examination for Hospitality will be based on this ‘old’ syllabus.

2017 students who want to undertake the 240-hour Hospitality course in the one year will also complete the course as outlined in the ‘old’ syllabus. Any student wanting to sit the 2017 HSC examination must complete the 240-hour Hospitality course from the ‘old’ syllabus.

The first Hospitality HSC examination based on the updated syllabus will be conducted in 2018.
