Kuwaiti-World Bank delegation visits BOSTES

Seven Kuwaiti education officials accompanied by two World Bank officers spent three days in Sydney discussing the NSW education system with BOSTES. The delegation was briefed on curriculum development and implementation, teacher professional learning, and BOSTES technology innovations such as Program Builder and MarkManager.

To gain a first hand experience of classroom practice and teaching, the delegation also visited Wenona School and Cherrybrook Technology High School.

President of BOSTES Tom Alegounarias welcomed the delegation and said we look forward to ongoing engagement between the NSW and Kuwaiti education systems.

"Our high-quality curriculum, NSW's national leadership to improve teaching standards, and our internationally regarded HSC regularly bring international education delegations to NSW.

"We are also keen to learn about the education systems of other countries. This is to ensure that we deliver best practice."

The Kuwaiti delegation comprised high-level representatives from the Ministry of Education department.
