HSC written exams 17: Thursday November 10

The last written language exam of the 2011 HSC will be held today with papers for extension studies in French and Modern Greek.

In 2011 there are 6398 students enrolled in at least one HSC language course.

The most popular language is French, followed by Japanese, Chinese, Italian and German.

The individual HSC language course with the largest enrollment is Chinese Background Speakers.

  • 3906 enrolled, 26% male : 74% female

09.25-11.25 language: French Extension

  • 228 enrolled, 31% male : 69% female

09.25-11.25 language: Modern Greek Extension

  • 44 enrolled, 39% male : 61% female

13.55-16.00 Business Services (VET)

  • 2568 enrolled, 24% male : 76% female
  • Business Services is the third most popular VET – Vocational Education and Training – course after Hospitality and Construction. The Hospitality exam is tomorrow.

13.55-17.00 Software Design and Development

  • 1676 enrolled, 93% male : 7% female
