Dance Core Appreciation

Section I - Core Appreciation
Section I (20 marks)
This section consists of two questions requiring an extended response. Both questions are compulsory, and are of equal value.

Dance Major Study Appreciation
Begins: 10:40 am Ends: 12:00 pm

Section II - Major Study Appreciation
Section II (40 marks)
This paper consists of three questions requiring extended responses. All questions are compulsory. This paper is attempted only by students who have selected Appreciation as their major study.

Indonesian Beginners
Candidature: 39 (as at 1 September 2015)
Begins: 9:30 am Ends: 12:10 pm

The paper consists of three sections.
Section I – Listening (30 marks)
In this section, students listen and respond to recorded texts in Indonesian. Questions are phrased in English for responses in English.
Section II – Reading (30 marks)
In this section, students read texts in Indonesian and answer questions phrased in English for responses in English.
Section III – Writing in Indonesian (20 marks)
This section consists of two parts. Part A is made up of two questions phrased in English for responses in Indonesian. Part B consists of two questions phrased in English and Indonesian for responses in Indonesian. Students answer one question.

Indonesian Continuers
Candidature: 63 (as at 1 September 2015)
Begins: 9:30 am Ends: 12:30 pm

The paper consists of three sections.
Section I – Listening and Responding (25 marks)
In this section, students listen and respond to recorded texts in Indonesian. Questions are phrased in English for responses in English or Indonesian, as specified.
Section II – Reading and Responding (40 marks)
This section has two parts. In Part A, students read two texts written in Indonesian and respond in English to short-answer questions phrased in English. In Part B, the question is based on a short text written in Indonesian. Students respond in Indonesian to an extended-response question which is phrased in English.
Section III – Writing in Indonesian (15 marks)
There are two writing tasks. For the second writing task, students have a choice of two extended response alternatives.

Information Processes and Technology
Candidature: 2903 (as at 1 September 2015)
Begins: 9:25 am Ends: 12:30 pm

The paper consists of three sections.
Section I (20 marks) consists of multiple-choice questions answered on a separate machine-scored answer sheet.
Section II (40 marks) consists of four questions made up of parts to be answered in separate writing booklets.
Section III (40 marks) consists of four questions, one for each option. Each question is made up of parts. Students answer two questions based on the options they have studied. These questions are answered in separate writing booklets.

Latin Continuers
Candidature: 197 (as at 1 September 2015)
Begins: 9:25 am Ends: 12:30 pm

The paper consists of three sections.
Section I: Prescribed Text – Prose (35 marks)
In this section, students translate an extract/s into English, answer objective-response and short-response
questions on other extracts, and answer an extended-response question based on an extract/s from the prescribed text.
Section II: Prescribed text – Verse (35 marks)
In this section, students translate an extract/s into English, answer objective-response questions and short-response questions on other extracts, and answer an extended-response question based on an extract/s from the prescribed text.
Section III: Unseen Texts (30 marks)
In this section, students translate two passages, one verse and one prose, into English, and answer short-response and/or objective-response questions on these texts.

Afternoon

Engineering Studies
Candidature: 2086 (as at 1 September 2015)
Begins: 1:55 pm Ends: 5:00 pm

The paper consists of two sections.
Section I (20 marks) consists of multiple-choice questions answered on a separate machine-scored answer sheet.
Section II (80 marks) consists of approximately seven questions, each made up of parts, answered in the spaces provided on the question paper.
All questions are compulsory. A formulae sheet is attached to the examination paper.

Primary Industries
Candidature: 883 (as at 1 September 2015)
Begins: 1:55 pm Ends: 4:00 pm

The paper consists of four sections.
Section I (15 marks) consists of 15 multiple-choice questions answered on a separate machine-scored answer sheet.
Section II (35 marks) consists of short-response questions answered in the spaces provided on the question paper.
Section III (15 marks) consists of one extended-response question answered in a separate writing booklet.
Section IV (15 marks) consists of two structured extended-response questions, one for each of the streams. Students answer the question on the stream they have studied.

Society and Culture
Candidature: 4599 (as at 1 September 2015)
Begins: 1:55 pm Ends: 4:00 pm

The paper consists of two sections.
Section I Core (20 marks)
There are 8 multiple-choice questions answered on a separate machine-scored answer sheet. There are also short-answer questions to the value of 12 marks answered in the spaces provided on the question booklet. All questions in Section I are compulsory.
Section II Depth Studies (40 marks) consists of questions on each Depth Study. Each question is made up of two parts, the first part is worth 5 marks and the second part is worth 15 marks. Students answer two questions.

Financial Services
Candidature: 152 (as at 1 September 2015)
Begins: 1:55 pm Ends: 4:00 pm

The paper consists of four sections.
Section I (15 marks) consists of 15 multiple-choice questions answered on a separate machine-scored answer sheet.
Section II (30 marks) consists of short-response questions answered in the spaces provided on the question paper.
Section III (15 marks) consists of one extended-response question answered in a separate writing booklet.
Section IV (20 marks) consists of one structured extended response for each of the streams. Students answer the question on the stream they have studied.
