UPDATE - Advice for HSC written examinations

BOSTES has received a number of enquiries from Mathematics teachers following the news item published on Friday July 10, Advice for HSC written examinations, which referred to crossing out work in HSC written exams.

In response to these enquiries, BOSTES has determined that there will be no change to marking practice to crossed out work in any of the Mathematics exams in the 2015 HSC. When making their judgements, Mathematics markers will continue to consider legible crossed out work.

Teachers of all subjects should encourage their students to carefully consider their answers, write legibly, and make clear what they want the markers to mark.

Further information on the 2016 HSC written examinations will be provided early in Term 1, 2016.
