Following the release of the new national CHC Community Services Training Package and HLT Health Training Package, BOSTES has revised the Stage 6 Human Services Curriculum Framework syllabus. The revised syllabus, based on CHCv3 and HLTv3, is now available.

Implementation commences in 2016. The syllabus and a range of associated documents are available on the BOSTES website.

Students who commenced a Human Services course in 2015 and are completing the course in 2016 will continue the courses as outlined in the ‘old’ Human Services syllabus based on CHC08v4.2 and HLT07v5.1. The 2016 HSC examination for Human Services will be based on this syllabus.

2016 Year 12 students who want to undertake the 240-hour Human Services course in the one year need to be aware that they will be completing the course from the revised Human Services syllabus based on the new CHC and HLT Training Packages and will not be eligible to sit the 2016 Human Services HSC examination.

The first Human Services HSC examination based on the revised syllabus will be conducted in 2017.
