Results Analysis Package (RAP) automatic subscription

Schools with 2016 HSC students are automatically invoiced in Term 4 for the Results Analysis Package (RAP) - the BOSTES HSC results analysis tool provided at a small annual cost. RAP will be made available on the day of HSC results' release to schools that have paid the invoice.

RAP enables principals, heads of departments and teachers to effectively analyse their HSC results. Enhancements for 2016 include the following interactive features:

  •  A Course Band Report with an exportable function that displays the number of students in each band in every course within the school. This function was requested by principals to assist with their school cohort analysis.
  • An Examination Analysis function that compares the mean of the school group performance in the exam section/part/elective to the State mean in an easy to read graphical format.

A number of training programs are available in Schools Online > Memos and Documents. The Combining Questions to Improve Student Performance training program is a step-by-step demonstration for teachers showing how to group questions by concepts and exam sections, e.g. core/options, written/practical. Using the Frequency Distribution function to Analyse Results has been added to the existing RAP training programs.

If your school does not wish to receive RAP for 2016, please ignore the invoice or email at publications@bostes.nsw.edu.au.
