Morning
Physics
Candidature: 9379 (as at 1 September 2016)
Begins: 9:25 AM Ends: 12:30 PM
The paper consists of two sections.
Section I Core (75 marks) consists of two parts: Part A – 20 multiple-choice questions (20 marks), answered on a separate machine-scored answer sheet, and Part B – short response questions (55 marks) answered in the spaces provided on the question paper.
All questions in Section I are compulsory.
Section II Options (25 marks) consists of five questions, one for each option. Students answer the question based on the option they have studied. The question is answered in two separate writing booklets.
Textiles and Design
Candidature: 1546 (as at 1 September 2016)
Begins: 9:25 AM Ends: 11:00 AM
The paper consists of three sections.
Section I (10 marks) consists of multiple-choice questions, answered on a separate machine-scored answer sheet.
Section II (25 marks) consists of three questions, made up of short-response parts, to be answered on the question paper.
In Section III (15 marks), students choose one of two structured extended response questions.
This question is answered in a separate writing booklet.
Tourism, Travel and Events
Candidature: 432 (as at 1 September 2016)
Begins: 9:25 AM Ends: 11:30 AM
The paper consists of four sections.
Section I (15 marks) consists of 15 multiple-choice questions answered on a separate machine-scored answer sheet.
Section II (30 marks) consists of short-response questions answered in the spaces provided on the question paper.
Section III (15 marks) consists of one extended-response question answered in a separate writing booklet.
Section IV (20 marks) consists of one structured extended response question for each of the streams. Students are to answer the question on the stream they have studied.
Afternoon
Classical Hebrew Extension
Candidature: 19 (as at 1 September 2016)
Begins: 2:00 PM Ends: 4:00 PM
The paper consists of two sections.
Section I: Prescribed Text (30 marks)
In this section there are two parts. In Part A, students answer short-response questions on extracts from the prescribed biblical and Talmudic texts. In Part B, students answer an extended response question based on an extract/s from the prescribed texts.
Section II: Non-prescribed Text (20 marks)
In this section, students answer questions on the content, grammatical, literary and linguistic features of non-prescribed texts.
Construction
Candidature: 3015 (as at 1 September 2016)
Begins: 1:55 PM Ends: 4:00 PM
The paper consists of four sections.
Section I (15 marks) consists of 15 multiple-choice questions answered on a separate machine-scored answer sheet.
Section II (35 marks) consists of short response questions answered in the spaces provided on the question paper.
Section III (15 marks) consists of one extended response question answered in a separate writing booklet.
Section IV (15 marks) consists of one structured extended response, answered in a separate writing booklet.
All questions are compulsory.
English Extension 1
Candidature: 4484 (as at 1 September 2016)

The examination consists of three modules.
Module A: Genre
Module B: Texts and Ways of Thinking
Module C: Language and Values
Students answer two questions from the module they have studied. All questions require an extended response and are of equal value.
