BOSTES has updated the Stage 6 Tourism, Travel and Events Curriculum Framework syllabus, following the release of the new national SIT Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package. The updated syllabus, based on SITv1.1, is now available.

Implementation commences from 2017 with Year 11. New BOSTES course numbers for the updated Framework are detailed in the syllabus.

 Students who commenced a Tourism, Travel and Events course in 2016 and are completing the course in 2017 will continue the courses as outlined in the ‘old’ Tourism, Travel and Events syllabus based on SIT12v2, also available on the BOSTES website. The 2017 HSC examination for Tourism, Travel and Events will be based on this ‘old’ syllabus.

2017 students who want to undertake the 240-hour Tourism, Travel and Events course in the one year will also complete the course as outlined in the ‘old’ syllabus. Any student wanting to sit the 2017 HSC examination must complete the 240-hour Tourism, Travel and Events course from the ‘old’ syllabus.

The first Tourism, Travel and Events HSC examination based on the updated syllabus will be conducted in 2018.
