Clarification regarding the use of dictionaries in Latin Continuers and Latin Extension HSC examinations

Who needs to read this notice:
Principals
Curriculum co-ordinators
HSC co-ordinators
Head Teachers Classical Languages
Latin Teachers

The revised examination specifications for Latin Continuers and Latin Extension allow the use of dictionaries in the HSC examination.

Any monolingual and/or bilingual print dictionaries may be used.

For advice about appropriate dictionaries, teachers and students should consult the Latin syllabus page of the BOSTES website or contact the Inspector, Languages.

The instruction on the front page of the Latin Continuers and Latin Extension HSC examinations from 2016 will read Monolingual and/or bilingual print dictionaries may be used.
