Applications to mark the 2016 HSC examinations open Thursday 3 March.

Marking is a very rewarding professional opportunity for suitably qualified teachers. The benefits include:

• professional development learning new marking skills
• experience of the full range of responses from across the course candidature and contrasting different approaches to the examination
• opportunities to apply for positions such as pilot marker or senior marker in the marking operation, or as a judge in the standards-setting operation
• the option to apply for corporate marking (specific subjects), itinerant marking (practical performance subjects) or onscreen marking (specific subjects).

Corporate marking and onscreen marking briefings are held at a number of venues across the Sydney metropolitan area and regional New South Wales (specific courses are marked at particular venues).

How to apply
New applicants need to complete a registration form which can be found on the Markers Online home page, which can be accessed via the BOSTES homepage. Once registered, log into Markers Online using your User ID and Password and submit an application.

Applications close Friday 18 March.
