Schools sought to trial cross-curricular STEM units

BOSTES is looking for schools to trial recently developed cross-curricular K-12 STEM units of work during second semester. These units will add to the current published seven cross-curricular STEM units of work.

The exemplar STEM units have been developed to show teachers how the pillars of STEM – science, technology, engineering and mathematics - interrelate. Each unit assists teachers of a particular Stage to implement integrated STEM education. The units of work embed innovative thinking and incorporate the use of 21st Century technology.

Enhanced student engagement in STEM is encouraged as they apply their knowledge and understanding of STEM concepts to practical and hands-on experiences.

Schools are invited to register their interest in trialing these sample units of work by contacting Leonore Carr, Cross Curricular STEM Project Manager, Leonore.Carr@bostes.nsw.edu.au.
