Consultation on K–10 draft Directions for Syllabus Development

Consultation on the draft Directions for Syllabus Development is currently taking place for:

  • PDHPE K–10
  • Science and Technology K–6
  • Technology (Mandatory) Years 7–8

Please note that BOSTES has endorsed a review of the current Science and Technology K–6 syllabus to include Australian Curriculum: Technologies content. Schools should continue to teach the current NSW Science syllabus (inc. Science and Technology K–6) K–10 during the review.

Feedback received from consultations will be used to guide the development of the final syllabus documents. Consultation continues until Wednesday 31 August.

You can provide feedback via online survey, written submission or by attending a face-to-face consultation meeting from 4 – 6pm at locations across NSW. Details and registration are available on the BOSTES website. Please pre-register by 8am the day before, and bring an electronic or hard copy of the draft Directions for Syllabus Development documents, if you are attending a consultation meeting.

Completing a draft Directions for Syllabus Development consultation meeting will contribute to 2 hours of QTC Registered PD (addressing 6.2.2 and 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers) towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
