School Certificate Mathematics test details for Tuesday 10 November 2009

The Board of Studies joins with the rest of the community in wishing all School Certificate students the best for their tests. Test: Mathematics (School Certificate) Date: Tuesday November 10, 2009, 9:25 AM - 11:30 AM Candidature: 84,221 (as at 1 September 2009) The test consists of two sections. Section 1 (25 marks) consists of 25 short-response questions, answered in the question booklet. Calculators may not be used in this section. Section 2 (75 marks) has two parts, A and B. Calculators may be used in both parts.
  • Part A (55 marks) consists of 50 multiple-choice questions and five multiple correct/incorrect questions, answered on a separate machine-scored answer sheet.
  • Part B (20 marks) consists of four questions, each containing several parts, worth 5 marks each. All answers to Part B are written in the spaces provided in the question booklet.
