September consultations for School Certificate Review

Consultations about the record of achievement to replace the School Certificate will begin next month.

Board president, Tom Alegounarias, today wrote to school principals in New South Wales to advise that consultations with teachers and the wider community will begin in September.

Everyone will be invited to have their say via an online survey. The Board will also consult with key stakeholder groups representing teachers.

Expected outcomes of the consultations include a title for the new credential and details of its implementation.

Principles on which the new record of achievement will be based are outlined in the Board’s Discussion Paper.
