The revised Stage 6 Automotive Curriculum Framework syllabus based on
version 2 of the nationally endorsed AUR12 Automotive Industry Retail, Service and Repair Training Package is now available.

Key features of the revised syllabus include:

• access to Certificate II qualifications in Automotive Vocational Preparation and, for school-based trainees, Automotive Servicing Technology
• access to Certificate III qualification pathways in Automotive Electrical Technology and Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology for school-based apprentices
• simplified syllabus format
• introduction of HSC stream focus areas Mechanical Technology and Vehicle Body to the 240-hour course
• new format for describing the HSC Content
• new HSC examination specifications.

Implementation of the revised Stage 6 Automotive Curriculum Framework syllabus will commence in 2014.

The first Automotive HSC examination based on the revised syllabus and examination specifications will be conducted in 2015.
