Applications to mark the 2014 HSC examinations open on Wednesday, 5 March.

Marking is a very rewarding professional opportunity for suitably qualified teachers. Benefits include:

• developing marking skills and discussing assessment and marking issues with other teachers;
• experiencing the full range of responses from across the course candidature and contrasting different approaches to the examination;
• opportunities to apply for positions such as senior marker and judge in the standards-setting operation;
• the option to apply for day marking (limited subjects), evening marking, itinerant marking (practical performance subjects) or onscreen marking (specific subjects).

Marking is held at a number of venues across the Sydney metropolitan area and regional New South Wales (specific courses are marked at particular venues).

How to apply
Follow the links to Markers Online via the Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards’ website. New applicants need to complete a registration form which can be found on the Markers Online home page. Once applicants are registered, they can log into Markers Online using their User ID and Password and submit their application.
