Who needs to read this notice:
Principals of non-government schools with overseas students on 570 or 571 student visas
Representatives of school systems with overseas students on 570 or 571 student visas
Representatives of school providers.

The Guidelines for Approved NSW School Providers Delivering Courses to Overseas Students have been amended to reflect the change in name of a number of relevant government departments and agencies.

The changes include:

• references to the Board of Studies changed to the Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards (BOSTES)
• references to the Commonwealth Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education (DIISRTE) changed to the Department of Education (DoE)
• references to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) changed to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP)
• some minor edits and clarifications to a range of sections

These changes take effect with the publication of this Official Notice.

The amended Guidelines are available to download from the Schools with Overseas Students (CRICOS) section of the BOSTES website.
