Legal Studies
Candidature: 10703 (as at 1 September 2016)
Begins: 9:25 AM Ends: 12:30 PM
The paper consists of three sections.
Section I (20 marks) consists of 20 multiple-choice questions answered on a separate machine-scored answer sheet.
Section II (30 marks) consists of two parts. Part A – Human Rights (15 marks) consists of short-answer questions answered on the question paper. Part B – Crime (15 marks) consists of one extended response question answered in a writing booklet.
All questions in Sections I and II are compulsory.
Section III – (50 marks) consists of seven extended response questions, one for each option. Each question offers an internal choice of two. Students attempt two questions, each on a different option.

The paper consists of three sections.
Section I: Prescribed Text – Prose (33 marks)
In this section, students translate an extract/s into English, answer objective response and short-response questions on other extracts, and answer an extended response question based on an extract/s from the prescribed text.
Section II: Prescribed text – Verse (33 marks)
In this section, students translate an extract/s into English, answer objective response questions and short-response questions on other extracts, and answer an extended response question based on an extract/s from the prescribed text.
Section III: Unseen Texts (34 marks)
In this section, students translate two passages, one verse and one prose, into English, and answer short-response and/or objective response questions on these texts.
Modern Hebrew Continuers
Candidature: 46 (as at 1 September 2016)
Begins: 2:00 PM Ends: 5:00 PM
The paper consists of three sections.
Section I – Listening and Responding (30 marks)
There are two parts in this section. In Part A (20 marks), students listen and respond to recorded texts in Hebrew. Questions are in English for responses in Hebrew. In Part B (10 marks), students respond to questions on two texts in Hebrew. Questions are in English and Hebrew for responses in Hebrew.
Section II – Reading and Responding (30 marks)
This section has two parts. In Part A (20 marks), students read two texts in Hebrew and answer questions phrased in English, for responses in English. In Part B (10 marks), students read a short text in Hebrew. The task is phrased in English for a response in Hebrew.
Section III – Writing in Modern Hebrew (15 marks)
Students are required to write an original text in Hebrew. There is a choice of two questions.
