Anna Wethereld recently joined BOSTES as the new Mathematics and Numeracy Inspector. She comes with extensive school experience as a teacher, 13 years as head of department and as deputy principal. Most recently, Anna worked as Manager of Assessment and Certification at the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA). As part of this role she managed the Quality Assurance Unit and led a number of projects relating to external assessment and accreditation.

She has taken the opportunity to join BOSTES recognising that the role of Mathematics and Numeracy Inspector will provide her with the opportunity to lead curriculum development and quality teaching, learning and assessment practices across NSW.

Anna has assumed leadership of existing projects relating to development of new syllabuses for Senior Years’ Mathematics and is enjoying consulting and working with key NSW stakeholders.

“I look forward to being a part of the strong NSW mathematics community and to collaborate on the exciting curriculum projects ahead,” she said.
