Ancient History HSC exam details for Monday 26 October 2009

Course: Ancient History
Date: Monday October 26, 2009, 1:55 PM - 5:00 PM
Candidature: 12127 (as at 1 September 2009)
This paper consists of four sections.
Section I is compulsory.
Section I Cities of Vesuvius - Pompeii and Herculaneum (25 marks)
There are three source-based questions, the first has a number of parts. Answers are to be written in the spaces provided in the question booklet.
Students attempt one question from each of Sections II, III and IV. All sections are of equal value.
Section II Ancient Societies (25 marks)
There are 10 questions, one for each ancient society. Each question consists of a number of parts. Students attempt all parts of one question.
Section III Personalities in their Times (25 marks)
There are 12 questions, one for each personality. Each question has a number of parts. Students attempt all parts of one question.
Section IV Historical Periods (25 marks)
There are 16 extended response questions, one for each historical period. Each question offers an internal choice of two. Students attempt one.
