Official Notice - 2010 HSC Exams - Changes to the format of examination papers and writing booklets

BOS 29/10

Some changes have been made to the design of HSC examination papers and writing booklets for 2010 and beyond.

What are the changes?

  • All HSC examination papers and writing booklets will be printed on white paper*.
  • All parts of the examination that must be handed in for marking will be identified with an orange-coloured stripe.
  • Coloured stimulus may be included in some examinations. Students should be aware, however, that except in the case of Visual Arts and Geography examinations, questions will not require the ability to see colour.
  • All writing booklets will consist of a sheet of A3 paper folded to A4. In the past students were provided with stapled 4 or 8 page writing booklets depending on the examination.
