Guides to the new NSW syllabuses for the Australian curriculum

The Board has developed guides to the new NSW K–10 syllabuses for the Australian curriculum. These guides highlight new features of the syllabuses and will assist teachers and schools to plan for implementation from 2014.

There are five subject guides available:

The guides include:

  • what is similar and different between the current syllabuses and new syllabuses
  • how the syllabuses cater for all students
  • the plan for implementation
  • a list of support materials available from the Board now
  • a list of support materials which will be available later in 2012 and 2013
  • features of the relevant content pages, and
  • features of the Years 7–10 Life Skills content pages.

You can access these guides, along with the syllabuses and other support materials, anytime, anywhere on a variety of devices using the Board’s NSW syllabuses for the Australian curriculum website.

Print versions of these guides are also being dispatched progressively to schools, along with the syllabuses.

For information about implementation of the new syllabuses in NSW, read Official Notice BOS 24/12.
