Official Notice: Update to the Stage 6 Construction Curriculum Framework

The Stage 6 Construction Curriculum Framework has been updated to align with
version 8 of the CPC08 Training Package.
The amendments do not alter the HSC course structures or the HSC requirements and advice.
The changes include:
- a version update of one HSC mandatory and examinable unit of competency – CPCCCM2005B Use construction tools and equipment replaces CPCCCM2005A
- version updates to, or replacement of, HSC elective units of competency
- qualification code changes for Certificate II in Construction, Certificate III in Roof Tiling and Certificate III in Shopfitting
- updates to qualification packaging rules.
Details of the amendments are outlined in the Construction Modification History. The updated syllabus documents are available on the Board’s website.
The updated units of competency and qualification packaging rules are available to download at http://training.gov.au.
The updated syllabus is to be implemented with students commencing study in 2014.
For students continuing study in 2014, contact the Registered Training Organisation for advice on whether students will continue with courses based on version 7 or version 8 of the CPC08 Training Package.
