Morning
Design and Technology
Candidature: 3,197 (as at 1 September 2013)
Begins: 9:25AM Ends: 11:00AM
The paper consists of three sections.
Section I (10 marks) consists of 10 multiple-choice questions, answered on a separate machine-scored answer sheet.
Section II (15 marks) consists of short-answer questions, to be answered on the question paper.
Section III (15 marks) consists of one structured extended response question. This question is answered in a separate writing booklet.
Afternoon
English (Advanced)
Candidature 27,173 (as at 1 September 2013)
Paper 2 - Modules
Begins: 1:55PM Ends: 4:00PM
The paper consists of three sections.
Section I (20 marks) Module A: A Comparative Study of Texts and Context
Section II (20 marks) Module B: Critical Study of Texts
Section III (20 marks) Module C: Representation and Text
Students must answer three questions, one from each section. All questions require an extended response and are of equal value.
English (ESL) Listening Paper
Candidature 2,459 (as at 1 September 2013)
Listening Paper
Begins: 3:10PM Ends: 3:40PM
Students listen to a text recorded on CD.
The paper consists of a number of questions related to what they hear on the CD. The questions may be a combination of multiple-choice questions and questions requiring both short and more sustained responses.
English (ESL) Paper 2
Candidature: 2,459 (as at 1 September 2013)
Paper 2 - Modules
Begins: 1:55PM Ends: 3:00PM
The paper consists of two sections
Students must answer one question from each section.
Section I (20 marks) Module A: Experience Through Language
Section II (20 marks) Module B: Texts and Society
Each question requires an extended response.
