The existing Tourism and Events Curriculum Framework Part A Syllabus (based on SIT07v3) has been amended to allow students to access qualifications and units of competency from the new SIT12 Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package in 2014.

Students completing the Tourism and Events (240 indicative hours) course in 2014 who achieve SIT12 units of competency would be eligible for an SIT12 qualification. They will also be eligible to sit for the Tourism and Events HSC examination in 2014 and count the results from their examination towards their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).

View the Tourism and Events Syllabus Amendment document for further details.

Schools and colleges should consult with their school system and/or the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) regarding delivery of courses from the existing Tourism and Events Curriculum Framework for their students continuing study in 2014.
