Gold Award Winners for WriteOn Presentation 14 November 2013

On Thursday 14 November, Carol Taylor Chief Executive of the Board of Studies had the pleasure of addressing the Gold Award recipients of the WriteOn competition together with their teachers and parents. WriteOn is an annual competition open to all NSW primary school students in Years 1 to 6.

Each of the 21 Gold award winners had produced a wonderful story of up to 500 words using the stimulus photo of a dog wearing a red scarf. Each student truly brought that dog 'alive' with a story, personality and reason behind that mysterious red scarf. Early next year an Anthology will be produced publishing selected WriteOn competition Gold, Silver and Bronze awarded entries.

The presentation was held at the Board of Studies with winning students travelling from as far away as Pomona, Murwillumbah and Tooleybuc.

Students who received Silver and Bronze awards have had their certificates posted to their school.
