A new version of the Stage 6 Business Services Curriculum Framework Part A Syllabus based on version 7 of the Business Services Training Package (BSB07) is now available on the Board’s website.

Changes to the syllabus include:

• new examinable HSC Requirements and Advice for Safety to reflect the new work health and safety (WHS) unit of competency and WHS laws
• new HSC compulsory unit of competency replacing the superseded OHS unit of competency – Contribute to health and safety of self and others
• qualification code changes for all qualifications – Certificate II in Business and Certificates III in Business, Business Administration, Business Administration (Legal) and Business Administration (Medical)
• updates to, or deletion of, HSC elective units of competency.

Details of the changes are outlined in the Business Services Modification History and Official Notices BOS 10/12 (WHS laws) and BOS 45/12 (BSB07v6). The updated syllabus is available to download from the syllabus section of the Board’s website.

The new HSC Requirements and Advice for Safety is effective for the 2013 HSC examination and beyond.

The updated syllabus is to be implemented with students commencing study in 2013.

For students continuing study in 2013, contact your Registered Training Organisation for advice on whether students will be enrolled in qualifications based on version 6 or version 7 of the BSB07 Training Package.
