K-6 positive relationships kit including cyber bullying

The K–6 Positive Relationships PDHPE Teaching Kit has been developed to assist teachers in NSW to implement the current PDHPE syllabus.

The kit has been developed to assist teachers to deliver high quality programs promoting positive relationships. The teaching and learning activities focus on syllabus outcomes and are provided for each Stage to allow schools to develop programs that meet the needs of their students.

Topics include personal skills, diversity and difference, developing agreed rules and power and influence. There is also a focus on managing the online environment, covering cyber bullying, online citizenship and safety.

Teaching about positive relationships is not new to schools. Many schools have in place excellent programs and policies to counter bullying and promote positive relationships. This kit can be used to complement existing resources or could be the basis of a fresh approach to this area of the curriculum.

The kit is available for purchase on the Board’s Shop Online website under 'What’s new'.
